Today begins another great challenge at
A Creative Romance. The
Chic Crafters have decided that since it has been hot, hot, hot most places, that our theme would be ...
"Beach Babes"
I am also "double dipping" today as I am posting this card on the
Crafts and Me blog to showcase one of the new digi images Teresa has in the store! As Teresa is in the process of revamping the Crafts and Me store, she is having a
HUGE CLEARANCE SALE at Crafts and Me...with 50% off selected stamps, pads and other products, you need to grab your bargains now - once gone, these items will not be back!
---------------------------------------
For my card, I colored up a new Hannah Lynn digi image from
Crafts and Me called "Maui Princess." I think she qualifies as a "beach babe"... don't you? She is colored with copic markers, and I added some "pearls" with my Sharpie White Opaque marker in her hair and on her body.
The design papers are a paper pack from Close to My Heart that I bought some time ago and I do not have the name of it. The camera did not capture the different peach tones in the dp behind my image but the coordinating papers feature blues, turquoise and peachy/orange colors. The papers were distressed with my Zutter distress machine and Vintage Photo distress ink.
I embellished the image with some goodies from Live and Love Crafts-
jute ribbon, and
grandpa's pocket watch mini . I especially like the new "ring fasteners" from Tim Holtz which are actually brads. I opened the jump ring on it, attached the pocket watch charm and closed it up again, then pierced a hole in my dp and inserted the brad. Another nice way to hang those great charms. Last, I added some flowers, brass brads, frantage and brass metal corner. The digital sentiment is from Art Fire- Create with TLC from their
"Serenity of the Sea" collection.
Thanks for stopping by. Why not hop over to

Chic Crafters have created to inspire you. We also have a "surprise guest" designer joining us...
